Very nice fit

Lovely swimsuit, as pictured and the fit is great.

Very flattering bathing suit. Bright colors, washes well, dries quickly, and colorfast. I styled up a size because I have a long torso. Fit Great! So comfortable and soft.

Love this suit! Very comfortable and even has pockets. You don’t feel like you’re in a swimsuit. Great for wearing outside and doing your gardening. True to size, I wear a large and bought a large. I’m 5’9” and 180

This was my first order on a recommendation from a great friend, and i was not disappointed, it’s a great swimming costume, fits beautifully and the fabric feels luxurious. Very happy.

There is no single number, and the tape measure is the last place to look rather than the first. Four signs come up long before it: the straps of a correctly sized suit pull down on the shoulder, the leg openings ride higher than the photograph showed, the crotch sits away from the body, and you find yourself tugging the front up every time you stand.
Any one of those on its own can be a sizing accident. All four together mean the vertical measurement is the one that does not fit, and buying a size up will add width you did not want while adding barely any of the length you did. Size charts that print a torso measurement are the ones to trust; compare that figure rather than the dress size.
One more signal worth knowing: if tops fit and dresses sit short in the body, that is the same measurement showing up in your wardrobe already.
The failure is not gradual. A suit an inch short is uncomfortable within the hour, because the shortage gets shared between two ends at once — it pulls down at the shoulder and up through the crotch simultaneously, and there is nothing left to adjust because the fabric itself is not long enough.
The visible part is the leg line. A suit stretched vertically lifts its own leg openings, so a cut you chose for moderate coverage arrives looking high cut on you. That is the single most common reason a one piece bathing suit for long torso proportions gets returned, and it has nothing to do with the size you ordered.
Straps are the first thing to check on arrival. Adjustable ones let you buy back length through the body without changing the width anywhere, and on this shape they matter more than any other detail on the listing.
Torso length is the one measurement a two-piece never has to get right. A tankini or a bikini leaves the middle open, so the top finds its own place and the bottom finds its own — the distance between them is whatever your body says it is.
A one piece has that distance sewn in. It is the only shape in swimwear where the vertical is fixed at the factory, which is why the fit either works immediately or cannot be made to. Everything else on the garment — neckline, leg cut, strap layout — you can compromise on. This one you cannot, and it is the reason the cut exists as a category of its own.
Extra length gives you more choice below the waist, not less. With the body already reaching, a higher leg opening reads as a deliberate line rather than as a suit stretched out of shape, and a full coverage cut stays genuinely full rather than creeping upward through the afternoon.
Above the waist the same logic applies. A high neck needs the length to close properly at the chest, and a strapless cut needs it to stay up at all. Shaped fronts benefit too — our tummy control styles hold their panel flat when the body has room to lie flat itself.
A swim dress is the one exception worth flagging: the skirt hides a short body, so it feels fine in the changing room and rides up in the water.
These two get sold as the same thing and solve different problems. Tall sizing adds leg, shoulder width and overall scale; long torso sizing adds the body only. Plenty of people need one without the other, which is why a tall one piece swimsuit can still pull at the crotch, and why someone at average height can need the longest body on the rack.
Listings for one piece bathing suits for tall women usually mix both, so read the measurement rather than the heading. If height is the whole of it, straps and leg openings are what change; if the body is, length between shoulder and hip is the only figure that matters. Our plus size range solves it the same way, with each size drafted on its own rather than graded up.
