Lovely multi-coloured design which is very flattering

This costume fits well - colours are vibrant. I haven't worn it yet - tomorrow!

Love the suit. Fits perfect.

Like it very much

Love this swimsuit, very comfortable and very stretchy

Honestly, no — and any suit promising a specific number of pounds is overselling what fabric can do. It is worth saying plainly, because the category is full of claims that set people up for disappointment.
What tummy control swimwear genuinely does is change the line. It smooths the transition between bust and hip so nothing pulls or bunches, and it breaks up the surface so the eye reads texture rather than contour. That is a real, visible effect and it photographs as well as it looks in a mirror. It is also achievable without discomfort, which is the part that matters over a six-hour day.
Flattening by compression is a different proposition altogether. It works while you stand still, it stops being tolerable after an hour in the sun, and it tends to create bulges at the edges of the panel — solving one problem by producing another slightly higher up.
Two approaches exist and they produce very different experiences of wearing the same garment.
Compression pulls tight with heavy elastic across the stomach. It flattens by force. The trade-offs are immediate: restricted breathing when you stretch, visible edges where the panel ends, and a suit you are aware of constantly.
Construction gathers fabric across the front — ruching, shirring, or a draped panel — and backs it with a second lining layer that holds gently. The gathering hides contour because gathered fabric has no single line to follow. The lining does the smoothing. Neither restricts you, and neither creates an edge. Everything in this range works the second way.
Anyone searching for swimwear to hide tummy concerns tends to assume the tightest suit wins. In practice the opposite holds true: a well-constructed front in your actual size looks smoother than a compressive one a size down, because the smaller suit creates new lines exactly where the fabric runs out. If you are between sizes here, size up rather than down.
Shaping is not limited to one-pieces. Put the waistband at the narrowest point of the torso and run a longer top past it, and the overlap covers what a one-piece panel would — except that the two halves are sized independently. See tummy control two piece.
Listings run from light smoothing to what gets sold as extreme, and more is not simply better — each step up costs something.
Light shaping is a lined front with some gather. It is invisible to wear and holds all day. Firm shaping adds a second panel of denser fabric, which does more standing still and starts to be noticeable after an hour. Extreme shaping uses compressive fabric across the whole torso; it changes the outline most and it is the version people take off first, usually before the day is over.
The honest guide: buy the lightest level that does what you want. A suit you stop noticing gets worn all summer, and one that has to be endured gets worn twice.
The shape of the suit matters as much as the panel inside it, and the right choice depends on where your concern actually sits:
Color and print do some of the work too. Darker solids and small-scale or vertical prints break up the eye line best; large horizontal blocks do precisely the opposite.
