Love it. Didn’t realize it had an elastic band in the middle

Love this cute Christmas shirt!

Beautiful top. Lovely soft material and fits perfectly. I'm a size 10 and ordered size M.

Five stars! This tee exceeded my expectations.

Longer T-shirts go by several names, and knowing them makes shopping easier. Longline tees are the most common term: they extend a few inches below the standard hip-length hem, usually ending around the upper thigh. Tunic tees are longer still, often reaching mid-thigh, and sometimes have side slits so they move easily.
Other names include long-length, extra long and longer-length T-shirts. Some retailers use tall sizing for tees designed with extra body length for taller women, which is a different thing from a longline style made for everyone.
A women long tee usually keeps the same neckline and sleeve as a regular T-shirt; only the body length changes. Some longer tees have a curved hem that dips at the back, which covers the seat when you bend and looks softer than a straight hem.
What is a long female shirt called when it is long enough to wear alone? At that point it becomes a T-shirt dress, usually knee length or longer. Longline and tunic tees sit between a regular tee and a dress, and they are meant to be worn over leggings, slim jeans or trousers.
Because the extra length adds coverage, longer tees are popular with women who want a relaxed outfit that still looks tidy from every angle.
For most everyday T-shirts, the answer is no. A tee that shows your stomach when you lift your arms is either too short in the body or too tight across the shoulders, so the hem rises as your arms go up. Few fit problems are more common, and this one is easy to test before you buy.
Try the reach test. Put the shirt on and lift both arms straight up as if reaching for a high shelf. If the hem stays at or below your waistband, the length and shoulder fit are right. If it rises well above, the shirt is too short for you or the shoulders are too narrow.
Cropped and fitted styles are the exception: they are designed to be shorter, and a little skin when you reach is part of the look. For everyday wear, though, most women prefer a tee that stays put, especially when bending to pick things up or reaching into a car.
Longer tees solve the problem. An extra inch or two of body length keeps the hem in place, and a curved back hem adds coverage when you bend. Extra room through the shoulders helps too, since the fabric can move without pulling the hem up.
Fabric plays a part as well. Stretchy jersey returns to its length after you lower your arms, while rigid fabric may stay bunched.
Leggings and long tees are a natural pairing. A hem that covers the hips and seat creates a smooth line over leggings and makes the outfit look complete rather than like workout wear. Most women find a hem ending around the upper thigh the most comfortable.
Side slits help a longer tee move and prevent it from riding up when you sit. A curved hem looks softer and more relaxed than a straight one. A relaxed fit through the body skims rather than clings, which keeps the outfit comfortable for long days.
Neutral leggings in black, navy or charcoal pair with almost any long tee. Printed tees add interest, while solid tees can be dressed up with a long cardigan, a scarf or ankle boots.
The same tees work over slim jeans and straight-leg trousers, making them one of the most versatile shapes in a casual wardrobe.
Tall women often find standard tees short in the body and sleeves. Extra long t shirts, sometimes labeled tall, add length to the torso so the hem reaches the hips, and they often lengthen the sleeves as well. Check the body length measurement in the size chart; it tells you more than the size label.
As a guide, measure from the top of your shoulder to where you want the hem to fall, then compare it with the listed length. For leggings, most tall women prefer a length that reaches the upper thigh.
For more room through the body, see loose fit T-shirts; for a closer shape, fitted T-shirts; and for long sleeves with a print, long sleeve graphic T-shirts. Casual T-shirts and plain T-shirts include many longer cuts, and women's T-shirts cover every other shape.
