Perfect

All the tops I have purchased are absolutely lovely, thank you xx

Desktop is so pretty! I love the snowflake pattern and I can wear it all winter long.

Like the color . Like the sparkle. Fit is good.

Love it.

A pintuck is a very narrow fold of fabric, stitched close to its edge so it stands up in a thin raised line. The name comes from the width: each tuck is about as fine as a pin. A pintuck blouse has rows of these folds, usually across the front, the yoke or the cuffs.
The tucks are sewn into the fabric before the blouse is cut, so they become part of the cloth rather than an added trim. That is why pintucks look so tidy and why they hold their shape well after many wears.
Pintucks add texture without adding color or bulk. A row of them draws the eye up and down, which gives the front of a blouse a long, neat line. They also take up a little fabric, so a pintucked panel sits closer to the body than the loose fabric around it.
Because the detail is subtle, pintucks suit almost any occasion. They look crisp at the office, relaxed with denim and pretty with a skirt.
Pintucks are easy to confuse with pleats, but the two behave differently. A pleat is a wider fold stitched only at the top, so it opens and swings as you move. A pintuck is stitched along its whole length, so it stays flat and narrow. That is why a pintucked front looks tailored, while a pleated one looks fuller.
A pintuck bib is a panel of tucks set into the front of a blouse, shaped like a small bib from the neckline down to the bust. It frames the face and adds interest where it is most visible, while the rest of the blouse stays plain.
The look has strong roots in the early twentieth century. Edwardian blouses, often called shirtwaists, were famous for fine pintucks, high collars and lace trims, worn tucked into long skirts. Today's Edwardian-inspired styles borrow the tucked bib and the high or ruffled neckline, but in lighter fabrics and easier shapes.
A pintuck bib with a small collar looks neat and slightly vintage, while one with a ruffle edge feels softer and more romantic. The vintage blouses page covers more details borrowed from earlier decades.
Tuck-stitch is a practical everyday version of the pintuck. The folds are stitched in groups, often across the chest or down the front, and they add texture to a simple blouse in a solid color or a small print.
Because the tucks give structure, a tuck-stitch blouse looks tidy even in a soft, easy fabric. It pairs well with jeans, chinos and plain skirts, and it is a good choice for days when you want to look put together without much effort.
Sleeve length changes the mood. A tuck-stitch blouse with a 3/4 sleeve works well in spring and early fall, and a long sleeve style layers neatly under a cardigan in cooler months. Polka dots, small florals and plaids all sit well alongside the stitched texture.
Tuck-stitch also suits the office. The texture adds interest under a blazer without the softness of a ruffle, and the work blouses page gathers more polished options.
White is the classic color for pintucks. The shadows between the folds show most clearly on a pale fabric, so a pintuck white blouse has a crisp, fresh look that suits summer days, garden lunches and special occasions.
A white pintuck blouse pairs easily with navy trousers, a denim skirt or a floral midi skirt. Because the tucks already add texture, simple accessories are enough. Plain white alternatives sit on the white blouses page, which covers plain, printed and lace-trimmed options, and long sleeve blouses offer pintucked and plain styles for cooler days.
In cooler months, a white pintuck blouse under a navy or camel cardigan lets the tucked front show at the neckline, a neat detail for office days and family dinners alike.
