A spring day can begin at jacket temperature, feel like summer by lunch and turn chilly again by evening. The sleeve you choose is really a decision about how you will handle that swing.

A long sleeve in a light fabric covers the whole day on its own. It is warm enough for the morning walk, and when the afternoon heats up you can push the sleeves to the elbow. This is the simplest option if you do not want to carry an extra layer.
