Very comfortable and wash lovely

Not sure how they will fit yet as I need surgery to remove the excess skin after losing 65lbs. But for now not too bad a fit, just a bit big in bum.

Full coverage is the detail people pair with florals most often, and the two suit each other well. A print breaks up the surface of the fabric, so the eye follows petals and leaves across the seat before it traces the edges of the bottom. A fuller cut in a floral therefore looks lighter than the same cut in a flat solid.
To judge coverage on a listing, look past the print to the outline. The back photograph shows whether the seat is covered in full, and the side view shows where the leg opening sits; a leg that follows the hip crease covers more than one angled up toward the hip bone. Full coverage swimwear bottoms show the shape in its plainest form.
Print placement matters more on a fuller bottom, simply because there is more fabric to fill. A large motif can land awkwardly across the center back seam, while a small, evenly scattered floral looks the same from every angle. If a listing shows only the front, the print on the back may be placed quite differently.
Lining is the other check. Light floral grounds, especially white and pale pink, can turn translucent once wet, and a lined front and seat keep the print looking like a print. The word lined in the description is the quickest confirmation.
A floral high waisted bottom carries more print than almost any other bikini piece, which shapes every decision about the top above it. With a rise that reaches the navel, the bottom becomes the larger block of pattern, and a matching or quieter top keeps the two halves in balance.
Ditsy florals are the easiest to repeat on both halves. A small print on a high waisted bottom with a matching bralette reads as one soft, slightly vintage set. Larger blooms usually look better beside a solid top pulled from one color in the print.
Shape the top to the scale of the bottom. A high rise suits a top with some width at the band or shoulder, such as a halter, while a very small triangle tends to disappear above that much pattern. A wide strap in a solid shade also gives the eye somewhere to rest between the flowers.
For a look that is already decided, floral bikinis sold as sets place the print across both pieces. Buying the bottom alone leaves room to choose the top by support. If the tummy is the concern, gathering does more than print, and ruched bottoms explain why.
The ground color, meaning the shade behind the flowers, decides how a floral reads long before the flowers themselves do. A pale ground looks airy and bright; a dark one makes the same motif look richer and more graphic. Choosing the ground first narrows a long list of prints quickly.
Blue grounds, from sky to navy, are the most versatile. They sit well against most skin tones, pair with white, yellow and coral tops, and hide water marks better than pale shades. Blue bikinis show how widely the color ranges.
Pink floral grounds lean romantic and suit a soft set, especially beside a white or blush top. Brighter pinks hold their color in strong sun, while very pale ones can wash out in midday photographs. Pink bikinis show the spread of shades.
Black and navy floral grounds are the most forgiving of all. A dark background recedes and lets the print do the talking, which makes these bottoms easy to pair with a black top and harder to see through when wet. Anyone weighing which color is most slimming will find that a dark ground does much of that work, whatever flowers sit on top.
