Absolutely love this, material great and quality good,,

the pants are nicer than I expected. Not too cutsey. I got the small and since I weigh under 100 lbs. it's difficult for me to answer the other questions. I usually wear extra small and guessing that the pants run fairly true to size. They are comfy and the material weight is great! Not see through!!!

Love these pants! Pockets, length, comfort are all great.

Drawstring pants use a cord at the waistband to adjust its opening or hold a preferred position, depending on the garment's construction. The cord may run through a channel, appear mainly at the front or serve partly as a visual detail. Read the product description and inspect the waist photographs to understand what the specific arrangement does. A visible tie alone does not explain how much adjustment is available.
Pants with strings is a common way to describe the look, but the important question concerns the waist beneath the strings. Some garments combine a cord with elastic, while others rely on a different band arrangement. An elastic section moves with the waistband; a cord lets you alter and secure its setting. Compare pull-on pants for the flexible band and dressing method, keeping the cord's role as a separate feature.
Adjustment at the waist does not change the amount of room through the hips, seat or upper leg. Choose the basic size from the garment's measurements first, then use the cord as intended. A tie should not be treated as a way to make an otherwise unsuitable cut fit everywhere. If the fabric's ability to give is a priority, stretch pants provides another comparison. That stretch belongs to the material and may be different from either elastic or a drawstring at the band.
Begin with the waistband sitting at the position intended for the pair. Allow the garment to settle before pulling the cord, so you are adjusting the waist rather than lifting the whole trouser leg. When there are two loose cord ends, draw them evenly until the band feels comfortably held. The useful setting is one that stays in place without making the rest of the garment bunch or pull.
For a conventional two ended cord, a simple bow can provide a setting you can undo later. Form the first crossing, make a loop and bring the other end around it to complete the bow, using the same familiar motion as tying a shoe. The exact arrangement may differ if the garment uses a continuous loop or another fastening. Follow any instructions supplied with the pair rather than expecting every visible tie to work identically.
After tying, sit and stand once to assess the result. Loosen the setting if the band presses when seated, and review the overall size if the hips remain too close even with a comfortable cord position. A longer tie can sit over a plain top when you want the waist detail visible, or beneath a shirt when you prefer a quieter outline. For a higher band placement, compare high waisted pants. The cord and the rise should each support the outfit you prefer.
A waist tie often suits an easy casual mood, but it does not determine whether the legs are narrow or roomy. Look at the lower garment shape separately. A simple shirt can work with a straight leg, while a more relaxed opening may suit a top with a clearer outline. Compare loose pants when extra leg room is the main preference, then inspect the waist features of the specific styles that interest you.
For a morning of errands, pair the trousers with shoes you are happy to walk in and a bag that leaves your hands free. For a casual lunch, a blouse and a small bag can give the waist tie a tidier companion. The top may cover the cord or let it remain visible; either arrangement can feel natural. Choose around your preferred coverage and the way the shirt behaves while you sit, rather than feeling obliged to show the fastening.
Cotton content and the presence of elastic are details to verify on the individual product page. A drawstring name does not guarantee cotton fabric, and it does not mean the waistband has no elastic. For a material focused comparison, browse cotton pants. Keep the final outfit centered on the useful feature: a cord that offers the adjustment you want within a garment that already fits. The rest can remain straightforward, with familiar colors, an easy top and footwear suited to your day.
