Is Bikini Size the Same as Bra Size?

Bikini size and bra size are usually two different systems. Most bikinis are sold in letter sizes such as S, M and L, while a bra size combines a band number with a cup letter. A bra sized bikini uses the second system, so the top is chosen the same way as a bra.

Bra Sized Tops With High Waisted Bottoms

A top chosen by bra size pairs easily with a bottom chosen by hip measurement, and a high waisted bottom is one of the most popular partners. The tall waistband balances a structured top and keeps the two halves in proportion.

Coverage and comfort follow from the rise. A high waisted bottom sits at or above the navel, covering the lower stomach and staying in place when sitting or bending, which suits a long beach day. High waisted bikini bottoms collect the cut.

Matching the look is simple. Pairing a printed top with a solid bottom in one of its colors keeps the outfit coordinated, and a matching print on both halves reads as one set. High waisted bikini sets show both approaches.

Mid rise and full coverage bottoms offer alternatives for anyone who prefers a lower waistband, and full coverage bikini bottoms show the fuller seats.

Keeping separately bought tops and bottoms within one color family makes future mixing easy, since any new top will work with the bottoms already in the drawer.
