Let's talk fabric first: this tankini uses 82% nylon and 18% spandex in a warp-knit swim fabric. On the body it feels smooth and substantial—not flimsy. The 18% spandex gives that 'second skin' recovery, so the top holds you without leaving red lines. I measured the stretch: it returns to shape quickly, which matters after you get out of the ocean.
The construction is also smart: the drawstring waist lets you adjust the coverage on the board shorts, and the high-waisted X-shape top has a natural slimming effect at the midsection. The rhinestone print is heat-set, so it stays put through normal wear, but it's not indestructible.
Now the honest downside: chlorine and salt can loosen the rhinestone adhesive over time. If you swim daily in a heavily chlorinated pool, rinse the suit immediately after and always turn it inside out in the wash. Also, this is a firm tummy-control style, so if you prefer an ultra-relaxed fit, size up for extra ease—especially if you're between sizes. The built-in pads are removable, which is a plus for personal preference.
It's flattering and stylish.
@prayzenhym Thanks! The center ruching is doing a lot of that flattering work—it breaks up the surface so the eye doesn't settle on one area.
